Rescue Squad

Please Note:  Silver Cliff Rescue Squad, Inc. is NOT a division of the Town of Silver Cliff, nor is it part of Silver Cliff Fire Department. 

Silver Cliff Rescue Squad, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing emergency medical services in the Marinette County towns of Athelstane and Silver Cliff, WI. Much of the covered 208 square miles is unpopulated forest and recreational use lands. The area boasts:  two county parks and remote camping, many miles of forestry roads, snowmobile/ATV-UTV trails, a beautiful new bike trail system, and a major kayaking/rafting river.

The dedicated squad crews are largely comprised of volunteer Emergency Medical Technician-Basics, Emergency Medical Responders, and Drivers, along with a couple of Advanced-EMTs who come in from out of town. The unit consists of one rescue squad and a UTV. Crews answered 103 calls in 2024. In 2025, 145 calls were answered. Medical direction is provided by Aurora Bay Care Medical Center-Marinette. The hospital provides Advanced Life Support Paramedic intercepts as needed.

The monthly meeting will normally be held the third Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Silver Cliff Emergency Services Building located at W13600 County C.
